The Autor Kathrin Sieder
I was born in 1983. I live and work in Klosterneuburg in Austria. I have two daughters, two guinea pigs, and I love to play the guitar, to be in the forest, and to sing.
I run an advertising agency where, as a consultant and coach, I accompany spiritual people to discover and live their essence and become visible.
How the animals came into my life
The first animal came to me at a Buddhist meditation retreat: the bear. By virtue of his presence, he gifted me with safety and trust. Later the kangaroo, the lion, and the penguin followed. At first, I resisted against those invisible animals. I thought I had turned crazy. Then a friend told me that he also had an invisible animal, and that in shamanism they were called Spirit Animals. Now I allowed myself to live with these invisible animals.
I sensed that my vocation had to have something to do with the animals, but I was not ready for it. Six years later I was ill for three months. Being ill made it clear that I had to get started. I began, still very timidly, to draw animals and to write down their texts. That is how the first product, the Spirit Animal Calendar, saw the light of day in 2018, and then in 2019 the first card deck “Find Your Passion” followed.
How to pick a card
The falcon brings „The Power of Alignment“. Thus, I reflect on why I want to draw a card before I do so.
I search for a question that begins with:
“What do I need in order to …?”
Or: “Which animal helps me …?”
Examples:
“What do I need in order to know what the next steps are so that I get to know my vocation?”
“What do I need in order to become more courageous?”
And then I draw a concealed card. A card that attracts me. I take the animal in and find answers to my question in the text.
May the animals bring you closer to yourself.
May you live in happiness, freedom, and peace.
